saw this online Guilty When Proven Innocent

In the international court of morality, Israel has once again been singled
out for a barrage of hypocrisy, aided and abetted by gross media distortions. Time after time Israel has been accused of wrongdoings, and even when facts emerge to contradict the charges, Israel is indicted nonetheless.

Because when it comes to Israel, there is a singular adage: guilty
even when proven innocent.

This was the case in the Mohammed al Dura scandal. In 2000, grainy images were broadcast around the world of a boy cowering behind his father in
the midst of a shootout between Israeli forces and Palestinian gunmen.
Although there was no actual footage of the child being shot, France 2 correspondent Charles Enderlin said in voiceover that al Dura was dead. An outcry arose as media outlets clamored to outdo each other in virulent condemnation of Israel, and al Dura immediately became the poster-boy for martyrdom.

=A0Although the inconclusive footage was filmed by a Palestinian cameraman
, its veracity went unquestioned. Israel Defense Force investigations, concluding the boy could not have been killed by Israeli bullets because of
the angle of fire, were dismissed.

Finally, in May 2008, a French court ruled that the entire Mohammed al Dura affair was likely a hoax staged by French TV.

But by then, the verdict didn't matter. The world had vilified Israel, and it was not interested in hearing facts to the contrary. So unwilling was the world media to present an accurate account of the incident that the final French court ruling went largely unreported.

It was the same with the so-called Jenin massacre. In spring
2002, Israeli soldiers were sent into Jenin because that seething hotbed
of hostility had spawned dozens of terror attacks against Israelis, including the suicide bombing of the Park Hotel that claimed 29 lives just days
before.

=A0=A0Israeli infantry were finally sent to root out the terrorists. Did
Israel simply blanket-bomb the town, as the U.S. had done in Germany, Japan, Cambodia?=A0 No, although any sovereign nation may have responded thus
, considering the carnage Palestinian terrorists had wreaked upon Israel.

Instead, Israel embarked on a house-to-house search for terrorists and
explosives, putting its soldiers at immeasurable risk in an effort to minimize Palestinian losses.=A0 Sure enough, Israel walked into a booby trap:
heavily armed Palestinians awaited and opened fire.

What was reported in the media?Palestinian spokesman Saab Erekat
s assertions that Israel had committed a massacre; that the army had
killed hundreds of civilians. =93Jenin Massacre=94 became a headline under which Israel bashers gleefully accused the Jewish state of committing at
rocities.

The problem was that it was a fairy tale. The Washington Post reported that rather than hundreds of dead, only 56 gunmen had died and Israeli losses numbered over half that.By the time world media grudgingly began to reveal the false Palestinian claims, the damage to Israel image had been done.

Now, again, in the case of the Free Gaza flotilla, facts prove Israel
was lured into a violent confrontation by the same sponsors of terrorism
that apparently churn out martyrs almost as well as they churn out propaganda.

These were vessels of Islamic terror supporters, jihadists and radical
activists that were heavily armed with knives, metal pipes, and fire bomb
s. They ignored Israel's offers to dock safely for inspection before
having cargo transferred to Gaza. Is any other country in the world expected to import goods without inspection?

=A0Israel had well learned that ships bound for Gaza are suspect. In 2002
Israel intercepted the=A0Karine Abefore it could deliver its load -- 50
tons of Iranian-built missiles, mortars and mines bound for the Palestini
an Authority for use against Israelis. Hence this blockade designed
to prevent weapons from reaching Hamas, not to punish Gazans. To the contrary, Israel sends 15,000 tons=A0of food, medicine and electricity to Gazans each week.

In an outrageous act of provocation, the Free Gaza flotilla ran the blockade. When soldiers boarded the ships, they were set upon and beaten
within inches of their lives.

Video footage is proof. Weapons seized from the vessels are proof.
Statements by family members of activists who hoped for martyrdom are
proof.

But yet again, despite conclusive evidence proving Israel's innocence
, Israel has been indicted.

Thank you, world.Should my child ever ask, What=92s hypocrisy? I certainly have no shortage of examples.
