39 student leaders return from Israel ready to defend Israel on campus

The CUFI on Campus Advocacy Trip to Israel is more than a typical Christian journey to the Holy Land, and the participants are much more than tourists. The 39 students who joined us on our two-week trip were already respected leaders who are actively speaking out for Israel on their campuses and in their communities.
Throughout the intense schedule, students not only experienced the vitality and deep spirituality of the land of Israel, but also explored the complex political issues around and within the modern state. On our final day in Tel Aviv, the group met in the Tal Hotel for a day of advocacy training, summing up the experience and preparing to take what we learned back to campus. In a session called “The Two Minute Challenge,” the student leaders worked together to formulate compelling answers to the toughest accusations against Israel that they will hear on campus in the next few months. Explaining how Israel is nothing like the “Apartheid State” that critics describe is much easier once you have visited with Israelis and Palestinians on both sides of the Green Line.
